Maiñ huu.n ‘Mīr’ ki beti, uski nazm hai meri aan meñ
Kya soch ke tune maañga mere bebas baap se

Jahez ki aag ne chor kardi uski saa.ns
“LaIllaha…” bol ke jannat ki hogai shaan.

Aai uski laash wapas wahi Car meñ,
TooT gaya nazm aur bol Mīr ki awaaz se.
