Because Christian have enforced a belief by the Romans (I guess) to ascertain to the Trinitanian God ie Father, Son and the Holy Ghost or spirit, 3 in 1. (against the teachings of Jesus Christ pbuh).
This is against the Tawheed and a clear concoction in the religion at that time.
The word trinity does not even occur (irony) the closest reference that anyone can find is in the First epistle of John.
But The Creator in Quran explicity clarifies and debunk in chapter 2.
Indeed Allah is One and only.
To succumb to shirk ie association is the greatest crime that ones occur.
